Hi,

I have just built a new PC. Now every <a
href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=time&v=55">time</a> I start
it there is an alternating alarm signal that doesn't stop. On the
monitor it says "System is running in fail-safe state – please recheck
– bios cmos setup. I am totally confused and thankful for every
helpful hint!!!!

The components of my new PC are:
MB Abit AN7 NForce2/SATA-Raid/1394/Lan
CPU AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 512 Cache
Fan Arctic Copper Silent II TC
HDD <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=Samsung&v=55">Samsung</a>
80 GB SP0812N 7200RPM 8MB
DDR 400 512MB Infineon Original
DVR Ricoh MP5240 AR 4xDVD+R/RW bulk
VGA ATI/HIS Radeon 9200SE 128MB TV/DVI

Thanks, Simone

I had this happen when the fan in my power supply failed.
