alternate tcp/ip configuration

E

Here is my dilemma:

I go back and forth between 2 networks, both use DHCP. I
need the alternate configuration option to work in reverse
order, or find a workaround.

In the work network I need to use a static IP for a
particular product.

In the home network I use DHCP.

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 283676 says it looks
for a DHCP server and then loads the alternate if it does
not find it. Is there a way to set up my work profile to
not look for the work DHCP server?

In your case, the presence of the DHCP server at work thwarts your
attempt to setup a static IP address there.

I recommend you use NetSwitcher. www.netswitcher.com.
