Alphabetizing Added Sites to Favorites

Sites/file addresses added to the Favorites folder always
end up at the bottom of the list rather then being placed
in the Favorites listing alphabetically. I understand
that there may be a good reason for this to happen.
However, there doesn't seem to be a good way to move the
added site/folder to an appropriate alphabetical position
other than very slowly dragging it. If I accidentally
drop it during the drag process then I have to manually
search or go to Explorer to search for it. The Favorites
Organize function does not seem to help as it only allows
sites to be moved to other folders rather than be placed
alphabetically between folders. Thus, my two questions
are ..." whether there is a more eloquent way to place
added sites to the Favorites lists alphabetically and
also is there a easy way to find whether an site is
alreay listed within one of the Favorites folders?

One answer...

Use the menu option Favorites and when a favorite flies out,
rightclick on it and select "Sort by name"
Don't use the Favorites panel. It must be the menu option or you may
also do it from Start-Favorites

Those are the common responses if Favorites is listed in the Start
Menu

If Favorites is not listed as a Start Menu item, the Sort by Name
option will not even be listed. That caused me minor grief for a
little while.
To enable sorting, you will need to add Favorites to the Start Menu

Right Click Start
Click on Properties
Click on Customize
Click on Advanced
In the Start Menu items, check Favorites
Click on OK
Click on Apply
Click on OK

Now, when you go to the Favorites item on the Start Menu and right
click on any listed Favoroite, you will have the Sort by Name option

XP sure has some interesting twists and turns.
