Alphabetizing names and addresses

I typed a list of names and addresses and now would like to put the list in
ABC order. I went to Table and selected sort, but there isn't one that fits
what I would like to do. Can you make another suggestion? Thanks

That kinda depends on what it is you want to do, doesn't it? If you
don't like A-Z order or Z-A order, what do you want?

And which version of Word?

I suspect it isn't a question of choosing an order to sort with, but that
the information has been typed as multiple lines (paragraphs) per entry,

First Name, Last Name
Street address
City, State ZIP

To use Word's sort command to get any reasonable order, the data must be
arranged in one paragraph per entry, separated into pieces by tabs or line
breaks (Shift+Enter), and with the last name placed before the first name.
