I posted REORDER.EXE to alt.binaries.freeware. It alphabetizes your Start
Menu and Favorites menu.

I don't really know much about posting binaries (best software, etiquette,
etc.) I used Xnews to post this one as a single file, yEnc-oded.

That's nice but Windows already does it.

If right-clicking in the menu and selecting Sort by Name isn't enough,
I picked up a registry file recently that will alphbetically sort all
Start Menus and the Favorites too:

Copy the following text into an open editor and save the file as any
name yuou want with .reg as the extension. Doubleclick it to reorder
the menus.
*********************************

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Sort Start Menu into alphabetical order
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites]

; Sort Favorites into alphabetical order
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start
Menu]

Reverse for the reg instructions : first is favorites and second start menu

I use a REG file like that. It deletes the MenuOrder keys. It takes effect
the next time the computer is started. I have it set up so that these keys
are deleted on every restart. There is another trick which involves
altering the registry key permissions so that the MenuOrder keys can't be
re-created.
