Alphabetical Buttons

Hi All, Woundering if you could help me, if possible in a step by step
instruction into creating a step by step on how to Create a
Alphabetical Search Set of buttons,

First of all i Have Table Called "COMPANYS" and one of the fileds i
have in the table is called "AZ"
so which means that every time a new company is assigned a user has to
add a Alphabetical Letter,
Which Enables A Parameter Search. which looks pretty lame. and to
search a different List, i have to close form and reopen it.

What i would like is to create a list of button with-on a form from A-Z
and Show all Button, So when the Form is open all the user has to do is
to click b, and all the companys beginging B will be filtered or Press
C and All Companys Beginging with C Show and So On

How do i do this?

Regards

Danny

Danny, open the Northwind sample database.
(It installs on your computer when you install Access/Office.)

Open the Customer Phone List form.

You can use that as an example of how to achieve this.

Thank you for that information Allen, I downloaded the template from
Microsoft Yesterday, and looked at the Phone List And Open the Macro in
design View,

I saw how it was Built, I just cant work out how the Buttons are Linked
to Macro!!(

The buttons are not command buttons.
They are toggle buttons that are part of an option group named:
CompanyNameFilters

The AfterUpdate property of the option group is tied to this macro:
Customer Phone List.Alpha Buttons

You could copy the entire option group onto your form if you like.
