Allow delete/insert cells to del/insrt highlighted rows/columns

The delete cells or insert cells buttons don't allow the user to
delete/insert when a complete row/column is highlighted.

This ability disappeared in our recent upgrade to Excel 2003. It allowed 1
button to do the work of 2 based on how cells were highlighted.

I'm not familiar with such a toolbar button, usually if a key works two
different ways it is builtin and the Shift key is what changes how it works.
So it doesn't quite sound like what you describe..

You can accomplish same by using Edit, Delete
or Ctrl+- (hyphen)

You can extend a selection to entire columns with Ctrl+SpaceBar
You can extend a selection to entire rows with Shift+SpaceBar
