All video players have black screen but sound plays HELP!!!

I have already upgraded to version #9 also I have the latest drivers. I've gone through all the support questions offered in XP help. My video card works fine, it's passed all the tests. But the players show only black screens. My sound is working great but it only plays audio whether it's streaming, or DVD
Is there anyone out there who has any suggestions. This is getting very stressful. Does anyone in this forum know about more XP video solutions if I have exhausted all the help suggestions offered in XP help
Who can I talk to if no one here can help get my video players working properly? Even downloading new players doesn't work.
