All Programs changed

For some unknown reason my Start/All Programs menu changed from a three column to one column. I tried switching from the
regular Start Menu to Classic Start Menu and the Classic did display the three columns when I fooled around with it by
moving my mouse around the bottom and sometimes there would just be a second column with just an three down arrows in it
and if I clicked on it the three columns would appear but this would not happen in the regular start Menu.

I am using HP OEM Windows XP MCE 2005.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Right-click the Start button
Go to Properties
Click the Customize button.
Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll through the list until you see the item "Scroll Programs" and uncheck it.

Thanks that fixed it but don't know how it got that way. I never changed it.
