You could use your backup if you have one. You might try using System
Restore to take you back to a time prior to when this began. Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
Assuming only your Inbox mail is missing: Inbox.dbx is damaged. Close OE
and then Move Inbox.dbx to another Windows (not OE) folder and run
DBXtract/DBXtend on the moved file. (A new, empty Inbox.dbx will be created
when you next open OE.)
If all messages in all folders are gone, move all of your Identity's DBX
files to another folder and run DBXtract or DBXtend on them.
If either application successfully recovers any messages, count yourself
fortunate. Recovered messages may be dragged into an open OE folder, but...
Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose. Disable Background Compacting and
frequently perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working
