I am running Windows XP and am not able to access any files in Word, Excel,
etc. When I try to open a file a message comes up saying that the requested
file is unavailable. I am not very computer literate and would not surprised
if the answer is fairly simple. Hopefully?? Please help me

Have you loaded Widows Office XP disk up? If you have one.
Word, Excel, Front Page, & Power Point, are all on that disk. Not your XP
disk.

Windows XP was loaded onto my computer a few months ago and has been working
fine until the last day or two. Or are you suggesting that I try and reload
Windows XP?

"No!" It's a different disk, you need to load up, 'Windows Office XP'

NO
Windows XP (your operating system) and Office (Word/Excel) are 2 different products

Find your files using Windows Explorer (double click My Computer or use Start > My Computer or My Documents

Since this is not a FrontPage problem (this forum is for FrontPage) suggest you ask for more assistance in a Windows XP or Office /
Word forum
