Help. Tonight I logged in to check emails (and delete
the spam) and there were 39 new messages. Most I knew
were junk so I highlighted them in an attempt to delete
in a group. Before I could do that I noticed that the
last two emails said something in the subject line about
Outlook being unable to open the email. I opened it but
closed it because it didn't really say anything.
Thinking something was 'stuck' in the send/receive queue,
I hit that button. Nothing was received. When I went to
delete this message and others, I could not access the
delete key. Then, all my emails suddenly disappeared.
Everything. Gone! I restarted Outlook, re-entered my
password and still nothing. And there is now nothing in
every single folder. We have checked where we could
think of (including under the identities associated with
my password) and there is nothing there. We have retried
by sending a new message and now when we enter the
password, open the message and then close and re-enter
the password, the emails vanish. Ideas? Is this a virus?
Thanks.
