all menu function disable

Why all of my menu function turn to disable and turn to grey colour ? I can't
open the form, report and query in design view. Even the module code VBA
editor can't be open. This happen to all of my msaccess file and I can't
create a new msaccess db file from "new" menu file. Is the application been
locked from outside access or it is access problem ?

There's a possibility that the Access runtime was installed on your computer.

Try this: Go to the windows Start button; Programs; then find the Microsoft
Office folder. Open up Microsoft Access. Once Access is open, find one of the
problem database files and see it it works correctly now.

Also do your database file suffixes look like .mdb or .mde?

Hi, Jerry,

I follow your advice to open the file from Microsoft folder. Can open the
file, but still the menu function like "Design View" can't be use and in grey
colour. Also there is no way to go to VBA Explorer.

For this file, I use the code to hide access database windows on my Startup
form open event. Then when I click the icon, the db open for few second and
close automaticaly. I don't know why, but all other db file in my computer
can't use the menu function even that file not using the code to hide db
windows.

My database file suffix is .accdb and I use Windows Vista.

Please help me.
