All in Wonder Audio keeps turning off

I have a AGP All in Wonder X800. I am runningit with a PCI TV Wonder
Multi View. It is a couple of months old XP PRO build. I am using
9.09MMC . The computer dual boots XP PRO SP2.

On my primary XP install everything works fine. And then one day I can
not hear or record audio from the All in Wonder, which is set at
digital audio, and can't be changed.

I can't hear any audio with TV. or Line in from a cable box,, and I
can't record any audio. Video is perfect. The TV Wonder, which is
setup on the Auxarilly port, is fine, I can hear TV no problem on
the auxiliary jack through the TV Wonder. Any other audio playback on
my PC is fine.

If I boot into the second XPSP2 install, then everything works
perfectly, video and audio, so I know this is not a hardware or cable
issue. And if I restore an earlier image file to the problem XPSP2
install, I also am returned to normal audio from the All in Wonder.

But eventually, weeks later, something changes and then no Audio from
the All in Wonder.

Nothing is muted. I have checked Windows audio, All in wonder audio,
but nothing is not enabled. But I can not get the audio working again
unless I retore a backup!

Anybody have any idea why I keep losing audio?

You don't say what version of WDM drivers your using. In the Cat 6.2 or more
likely 6.3 they went to a Unified driver. It may not be compatible with the
version MMC your using. It shows up in Device Manager as "Unknown AV input"
or something similar. FWIW I only used it with 9.13
If not that I'd try removing the AIW and sound card drivers in Device
Manager and let Window reinstall them on reboot. Actually I think I'd try
reinstalling just the sound card driver first.
