All I did was remove a drive

I removed a hard drive recently. The remaining installed drive did boot
previously but now doesn't. During booting, I see the Wxp blue screen but I
don't see the words "windows is starting up" which always appears before the
desktop appears. While watching the Wxp blue screen, it appears that Wxp is
repeated trying to boot but then I hear a beep after each attempt. Your
suggestions please.

Not enough info provided. Are these ATA or SATA drives or a mix? How were
the original drives configured? Did you check all the cabling and make sure
the jumper is set correctly on the remaining drive? Was this originally or
still is a dual boot setup? Where are the XP boot files? The XP system
files. What was on the drive that you removed? How was the drive that was
removed configured, for example if these are ATA drives was it master on the
primary channel or what?

To get a focused answer it helps to provide all the relevant info.

The JUMPER... You don't know about the &%*X*& jumper until you run into such
a problem.

This guy/gal is always so vague (maybe intentionally). I wouldn't bother.
After reading so many of his/her posts, this person appears to be hiding
his/her expertise and knowledge, and actual information related to the
problem. Motis operandi is not so ever reply. Surprised you got a reply,
