All BCM Information Disappeared?

After my history linkage for all my business contacts and accounts was corrupted, I attempted to create a new BCM database as was suggested in an earlier thread. I now have the new BCM database showing in the File Management Wizard, but I can't find the old BCM database. The new database is empty

Please tell me that the there is a copy of the old database somewhere. Please tell me that BCM did not destroy all my data without even informing me

Please advise. I'm in serious trouble.

If you go into File | Data File Management and bring up the properties for
BCM, under Existing Database, do you see only the one you recently created?
Or do you also see the older one?

When I go to File | Business Database | Properties | I see both the original database: MSBusinessContactManager, 35MB, Created on 2/19/2004 and the new database: Online_Customers, 35 MB, Created on 4/13/2004

Can the original database be restored

Finally taking a breath

On the File | Data File Management dialog, you should be able to bring up
the settings of Business Contact Manager, select "Use an existing database"
and choose either of those databases.

If that doesn't work, do you have a compressed backup of the earlier
database, i.e. one made with the File | Business Database | Backup command.
If not, then there's no other built-in restoration method. You might be able
to get to the database with Access and extract it, but there's no
straightforward way to rebuild all the links between tables.

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.
