Hi -
When I open a word doc it automatically right aligns instead of left. Once I
left align and start typing, the second line tabs in one inch.

How can I set it to default left align and return my tabs to normal?

Not exactly a Windows XP question but one for Microsoft Word. But a
hint at resolving it. Re-make or create a new Normal.dot file that
conforms to the specifications desired.

You can do it by asking in a group with WORD or OFFICE in the title.
