Aligning objects

In a spreadsheet I created to diagram the wiring of an electronic relay I've
created many text boxes of varying lengths. All use the same font size but
there are inserted characters from the character map (if that's an issue).
I've set all of the text boxes to the auto size option. When I select
several of the text boxes simultaneously and then use the 'Draw - Align -
Align Left' or 'Align Right' option the text boxes all align properly on my
spreadsheet. However, when I go into print preview or actually print the
spreadsheet they are not aligned. It is necessary for me to be able to
control where these text boxes appear on the spreadsheet because they
actually must align with certain relay pins I've created on the spreadsheet
using the 'Format - borders' option. Just a note: I've tried the 'Snap to
grid' option on several text boxes simultaneously but I'm not sure how to
use that feature and the way I did use it did not seem to solve my problem.

Can anyone help me so I can line up these text boxes either left or right
(whichever is necessary for the area I'm working in) absolutely?

1. Can you save as some other format - eg. picture. ?
2. Try Alt + Print Screen and paste into Word

Thanks for your suggestion. I am hoping that someone
can explain to me why this is happening however. I really
need to know how to prevent this alignment problem as I
will be doing many more of these diagrams and alignment
is such a time consuming task. I need a foolproof way of
putting the objects into the sheet and knowing how they
will behave. Nevertheless, I really appreciate your
taking the time to reply. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Sorry, I don't know of any resources for that. I suspect that most people do a
lot of trial and error testing to get things right.

I don't know if this will help with your alignment while printing, but you can
hit and hold the alt-key while adjusting the textbox's border and it'll snap to
the cell grids.

Holding the shift key while moving the textbox will keep it in the same plane
(vertical or horizontal).

And tools|options|view|Gridlines
is a nice thing to have checked when you're trying to snap to grid.
