aligning dates

I have dates in the format yyyy mmm dd. If I use a font like Arial the days(dd portion) don't line up. How can I align them without using a fixed width font; maybe via number formatting codes?

Hi Vivek,

One way, but it seems like monkey motion for little or
nothing gained.....

Put your three bits of data (yyyy,mmm,dd)in different
colums, then with a bit of formatting you should be able
to align them.
