According to the Register:

<Q>
The first piece of malware to attack Microsoft's new prototype
anti-spyware product has emerged. The BankAsh-A Trojan disables
Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta in an attempt to suppress any warning
messages the package might display. It also deletes files within the
program's folder. Unlike other items of malware, BankAsh-A makes no
attempt to turn off anti-virus apps.

The main function of BankAsh-A is to steal online banking
passwords...

This do not surprise me, everytime I hear something like this and with
the load of updates just released, it makes me thik more of dumping the
P.C and getting an Apple Mac or going back to windows 98 at least now
most people are getting Xp, windows 98 is being left alone.

Some of us have never changed from Win98, but when I'm finally forced
to, I'm expecting to grapple with Linux rather than XP or Longhorn.

Definitely not Apple for me, though. (Tie myself not only to one
corporation's OS, but also to the same company as my sole hardware
supplier? No thanks.)

Why such a big deal over a common piece of malware? It's not the first
time we had a virus/worm/trojan target popular antivirus and/or
Spybot+adaware.

Heh interesting rationale here.

You can run Linux (Linux/PowerPC or Linux/ppc for short) and NetBSD
(NetBSD/macppc) on Mac machines.
