alert for outlook 2003 Calendar

WHen I create a appointment within my Outlook 2003, it does not alert me
before the appointment takes place. I tried changing the reminder time but
still no luck. One thing that I noticed is that the appointment does not have
a bell icon, could this be the reason why my appointment is not alerting. I
tried detect and repair and also reinstalling Office 2003 but still no luck..

how many calendar folders do you have? is it in your default calendar? are
reminders enabled - Tools, Options, Other tab, Advanced button and remove
the check to display the reminder.
