AIW 128Pro tuner problem

Gus

Hi all,

I have an AIW 128 pro, which was working fine until I used a program called
registry first aid.

I have reinstalled the graphics drivers and MMC 7.1, which I got from the
ATI website, however during the tv setup at the "tv channels installation
wizard" dialog the drop down menu for selecting cable/antenna region is
empty, also the autoscan button is greyed.

I am running XP home

I would be grateful if someone could help me out.

Cheers

Can't you do a "system restore" to a point in time prior to using the
"registry first aid"? That would be the easiest solution I think.

Sounds like the DirectX 9.0b problem, Gus: I notice you're posting through
btinternet, so I presume you're in the UK. DX 9.0b breaks PAL and SECAM
tuners in W2K and XP. M$ have held their hands up to this and have posted a
fix; but it's very hard to find and they've posted no warnings for people
downloading DX 9.0b.

Get the fix at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6D-E177-4A0E-91D0-B4310675B02B&displaylang=en.
If it doesn't work (some people have reported it doesn't for them) try
http://www.mustafa.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/fix.zip.
