AIDA32 - a great program

I got a copy of AIDA32 from www.majorgeeks.com on the recommendation
of a poster here when I was looking for a sysinfo program. It is
excellent and gives more and accurate information than the trial
version of commercial programs. If you are looking for a sysinfo
program you can't go past AIDA32.

I like SIW even better.

SIW - System Information for Windows. This program perform computer
configuration analysis and diagnostics. It gives detailed information
about your computer properties and settings, detailed specs for CPU,
motherboard, chipset, BIOS, CPU, PCI/AGP, USB and ISA/PnP devices,
memory, monitor, video card, disk drives, CD/DVD devices, SCSI devices,
S.M.A.R.T., ports, network cards, printers, operating system, installed
programs and hotfixes, processes, services, serial numbers (CD keys),
users, open files, system uptime, network, network shares, as well as
real-time monitors for CPU, memory, page file usage and network
traffic. It displays currently active network connections, passwords
hidden behind asterisks, installed codecs, and more.
This program also creates a report file, and is able to run in batch
mode.
A standalone tool that does not require installation - one less
installed program on your PC as well the fact that you can run the
program directly from a USB flash drive.

Platform: Microsoft Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista

Aida32 is very out of date - the Aothor went to Lavalys, but even the
feeware version of Everest (similar to Aida32) is now adondoned

Considerably more up to date than Aida32

And no, I will not link Lavalys's main site, why should I give them a
free plug, when they no longer offer a free version?

I think that it was a very bad move on their part to pull the free
edition... just when
everest was getting to be the best known sys info program...
I am sure they could have found another way to gain money with such
popularity.

MajorGeeks only has the Personal Edition. The Professional Edition is more
complete.
