AGP Texture Problem

T

Tony Briscoe

I have a computer running WinXP Home, with an ATI Radeon All in Wonder 128mb
graphics card. When I run the Direct X diag. set up, it tells me that I am
running Direct X version 9.0b. and on the display page I notice that the AGP
Texture Acceleration is disabled and the enable button is greyed out. My ATI
drivers are upto date, and I wonder if someone would tell me if, and how to
enable the AGP Texture Acc. button, or if it is important? As you may
gather I'm a bit of a novice with computers, and I would appreciate your
help.

In order for AGP texturing to work, you must have sidebanding enabled in the
BIOS. You must have at least a 16MB apeture set for this to work.

Unfortunately, all BIOSes are different. You will have to go into yours to
find out how. Watch the screen for the setup menu when you reboot (it will
be quick).

Also, make sure your motherboard drivers are up to date.
