AGP slot limited to 1.5v

My Asus P4T533-C mobo has an AGP 4X slot that does
not support 3.3v video cards (only AGP 4X 1.5v will work)

What would you suggest are the best cards available given
this limitation?

I would recommend Ti4600.

You seem to have it backwards. The *less* voltage an AGP slot
supports, the *better* card you can use in it:

AGP2X: 3.3V
AGP4X: 1.5V
AGP8X: 0.8V

Most AGP8X cards also support operation at 1.5V/AGP4X,
and should work fine in your motherboard.

I was just reading over the AGP 8x spec. and it states that the IO voltage
should never go over 1.5V. Apparently there are two separate voltage lines
to AGP 8x cards and one of them is the 1.5V line for the IO buffers. The IO
supply voltage maximum is 1.575V.
It looks like there might be up to 5 power supply lines for AGP (3.3V, 5V,
12V, 1.5V and an auxiliary 3.3V line).

My 9600 XT even works happily at AGP 2X. Smartgart doesn't allow 4X for some
reason, even though the mainboard supports it and it's enabled in the BIOS.

You can use _all_ Radeons and _all_ Geforce cards. Yes, even an old ATI
Radeon M6 or ancient Geforce 256...

I can't name specific cards, but there are a few 8X-only
cards, that don't support 1.5V/AGP4X operation.

Nope. _All_ AGP8x cards _do_ support 1.5v...
