Aggregate Calendar view in Outlook?

V

Victek

I have multiple calendars in Outlook and I wonder if it's possible to view
all the events on one calendar? This would be more helpful then having
multiple calendars open side by side and eye-balling them for conflicts.
TIA

Thanks for the information. I currently use Outlook 2003. Regarding OL2007
I wonder if you can duplicate the look of Windows Live Calendars (on the
web)? Multiple calendars all appear on the same grid and visually define
themselves by color. For instance, all of my personal calendar entries can
be blue while my work calendar entries can be yellow, etc. This same is
true for Google calendars and also in my PDA. It would be nice to see the
same layout and color assignments everywhere I access my calendars.

Outlook 2007 can show multiple calendars in overlay mode.....

Outlook 2007 does that - outlook 2003 can't.

I now have access to a computer running Outlook 2007. I see how to enable
the overlay mode, which is great, however I haven't figured out yet how to
change the base color of each calendar. I see an option to specify colors
for specific events which looks really complex. I just want to assign a
color to each calendar and have all events created in that calendar appear
in that color. If you use Live Calendar or Google Calendar on the web you
know what I'm talking about. Can this be done?

You can do two things with color - have different colored calendars (outlook
picks the colors for you). You can pick the color used on the default
calendar in tools, options, calendar options. Assuming there are no color
categories assigned to the items, the events and appointments match the
calendar color.

If you assign color categories to the items they will use that color, not
the calendar color.

See http://www.xsolive.com/Outlook Screen shots/calendar.png - The pink
and green calendars don't have many categorized items while the blue
calendar has a lot that use color categories. The pink calendar has one
item with a color category - the yellow one on the 14th. It's an all day
event and marked busy, so the day's background is colored. The hashed dates
indicate tentative all day events.
