Agents active/inactive conflict

In the "real-time summary" it states that 18 agents are
enabled. If you look at "internet agents" is says 25 of 25
are active and current status is active. it is identical
results for the "system agents" and "application agents".

If you then go to "manage internet agent settings" it says
status is inactive and 0 of 1 checkpoint currently
monitored. If click on "activate", nothing happens.

if you go to "manage system agent settings" it gives the
status as "inactive"...but the only choice given to modify
that is "deactivate". 0 of 0 checkpoints are currently
monitored. If click on "activate", nothing happens.

if you go to ""manage application agent settings" it gives
the status as "inactive"...but the only choice given to
modify that is "deactivate". 0 of 0 checkpoints are
currently monitored. If click on "activate", nothing happens.

If you try to click on anything in the "checkpoint details"
area of all of the above, all links are dead.

Also, as you can see in the below diagnostic report, it
says that only the application agent is enabled.

so, besides not knowing if anything is working or not, not
being able to modify settings and not being able to send
microsoft any information (what's the point of a beta, if
they don't want to hear from you?), it's a great program.

You can do things here, update to latest build of MSAS .509:
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-fca2f2c6f0cc/MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe
OR
Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard) select Update
Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

I am having the same problem, whenever i click activate on
the security agents, nothing happens. I updated to the most
recent version, and that didn't seem to help.

Same problem here and haven't found a solution.
Running .509 and tried the "update" under install
programs. Also removed MAS, searched and cleaned all
Giant and MAS directories left over after removal, then
searched and cleaned registry of Giant and MAS - then
reinstalled again with no startup programs running (used
msconfig). Nothing has helped.

I have another PC where MAS works fine. I'm running
Norton Systemworks2004 and Nortorn Firewall2004 on the
system that doesn't work and ZoneAlarm free and Norton
Systemworks2003 on the PC that works. I don't know that
it's a "Norton" problem, but I'm suspicious!
