Age of Mythology: landscape/models are white w/o defintion

After installing Age of Mythology, any landscape and models during the game
are primarily white and featureless. I am running Windows XP, and I tried
all of the general troubleshooting available for display drivers on
Microsoft's support site. My display adapter is an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000.
I went to NVIDIA's webpage, and they have no driver updates listed for it.
Please help.

Hi John,

Try the latest 93.71 drivers for your MX 4000 from nVidia:

Hi Jimmy S.;

I just read how you helped John with hi Age of Mythology woes. And I was
hoping you could help me as well. I just bought a copy of AoM but each time I
try to play it shuts down by itself. I downloaded and installed 3 different
versions of updates or patches the latest being 1.10 but nothing fixed my
problem I still can't play a game with out it chutting down. Game time
usually last not more then 20 mins.
