Age of EMPIRES 3 ---- unexpected error while playing

While playing the half of the times this games chrashes with an error:
"unexpected error ....." Technical the error says: Appname: age3.exe, Appver:
4,105,919,3236 Modname: ntdll.dll, ModVer: 5,1,2600,2180 Offset: 00011442e

Who can help me?
Drivers are updated, system is clean, Computer is 3 months old, i tried is
several settings, ...

Have you applied the latest patch?
http://www.agecommunity.com/gameUpdates.aspx and made sure other
applications aren't running in the background?
