Age II: Conquerors and Vista

Does anyone have a way to allow AgeII: Conquerors to run multiplayer? I
can't host or connect to a lan game with a Vista computer. Any help would be
appreciated.

So far, I have gone into the firewall program control and given it access
and am doing run as administrator.

Do you get an error or does it just time out trying to connect?

I recommend also posting to microsoft.public.windows.vista.games too.

It appears to time out. When connecting to a different computer hosting the
game, it will show up on the screen as the player name on the hosting
computer but any selection for team and race won't show. After a while, it
says it could not join.

I have also now been able to get this to work properly. For some reason when
doing LAN TCP/IP Connection it will not work. What changed in Vista
networking that could cause this problem?
