After XP SP2 Upgrade, can not access Internet

After a recent SP2 upgrade, I can now no longer access the internet. was
working fine before the SP2 upgrade. I get that Local Area Connection has
limited or no connectivity. Anybody had issues after SP2 upgrades? Anyone
know of a fix?

downloaded sp2 and now i can not open any thing on my desk top ex. google or
email seem''s to be anything from the internet the i have a short cut icon.
any help would be great!

I had the same problem try downloading new up grade for windows internet
explorer 7 this work for me and I was able to open my desk top icons
