After successful installation of Vista Ultimate 2 DAY LATER MY pc SHOWED ME
BLACK SCREAN. NO OS found. Now I can see my HD in BIOS but I can’t access it
form anywhere. DOS or windows. I installed new OS Win XP on the other HD and
I still can’t see my other HD with Vista on it. Any suggestions?

Boot from the Vista dvd and see if any of the repair tools there help.

I did that… it can’t find any OS on the HD…. I even tried a clean setup and
it showed my HD but instead of 160GB it showed only 149GB and its unallocated
partition and I can’t do anything about it.

Try installing and running Vista Boot Pro.
Pretty much self-explanatory for an advanced user like you.
What error message was described when the Black screen appeared?
Most likely a missing or corrupt file.

Are you running a Dual Boot?

If so, make sure to setup your XP load first
Use seperate HDD's, not seperate partitions.

I had all sorts of similar problems installing Vista RTM, including the
error-message-less blank screen after a couple boots.

In my particular case, I had to remove and re-create my system partition in
order to resolve the blank screen problem. Vista would actually install fine
to the partition that was there, but on reboot just go to a blank screen with
cursor. No error message.

Once I re-ran setup, deleted the partition, and re-created it, all was well.
(Of course, I had several critical issues before and after that, I think all
related to SATA and Vista not playing very nicely.)
