After installing service pack 2 my internet dont work

I formatted my computer and installed windows home edition version 2002, and
started downloading service pack 2 and installed it, and now my internet
dont work. I don have a firewall or antivirus. I had the service pack 2
installed before and it wasnt causing the problem before. Im very new at this
computer lingo, so please be patient with me.
