After formatting and reinstalling XP - cannot change name on Drive C:

I totally cleaned (formatted) my computer and reinstalled
XP. During the re-installation process XP renamed Drive
C: to Drive E: and renamed my Zip drive from Drive E: to
Drive C: Why did that happen and how do I change it back?
 
Right click "My Computer", select "Manage". In "Computer Management" in left pane select "Disc Management". In right pane, right click the drive you want to change drive letter for. Select "Change drive letter and paths". In pull down on the right side, select new drive letter.
