After conversion from 2003 to 2007, Access file is extremely slow

We recently converted from Office 2003 to 2007. We run Terminal Services
using Remote Desktop on a 2008 Server. We have one Access file that is used
by one user. It is a dietary database that has daily menus for the year and
a residents database. It prints out the Daily menu with the residents name
for them to make choices for the next day's menu. Since the conversion it is
extremely slow to move around anywhere in the file. To scroll down to
different parts of the file, to type info in. You are typing away & then in
30 seconds it starts showing on the screen. I have looked for some kind of
setting that needs changed or something but am unable to figure this out. It
is hard to get the job done. Are there any ideas?

Were you running on Terminal Services previously? Is the only change going
from 2003 to 2007?

In Access 2007, under Access Options - Current Database. Make sure Track
Name Auto Correct is not checked.

I have also experienced extreme slowness and am currently researching how to
resolve it. Going into design mode of Reports and Forms on a new PC with
completely new installation of Vista and MS '07, we're finding that it is
extremely slow to do any kind of design.

We installed a recommended patch which worked well for a few days. (We're
running SP2 MSO 12.0.6425.1000) Now it has gone back to it's old "bad
behaviour". These databases are ones that were created in 2003 with code
behind the forms and reports.

Are we going to have to rebuild these db tools in 2007 in order for us to
work in them? The users don't seem to have as much trouble running the
programs as we do as designers.

Any suggestions?

Yes, from 2003 to 2007 is the only change. The track change autocorrect is
not checked for that user. I noticed the database file says it is in
2002-2003 file format. Do I need to do a Save As to 2007 format? It is such
an important file I am afraid to mess around too much!

I've noticed slow response when the (new) PC I'm using does not have a
printer defined...

Printers are defined.. Also "trusted locations" are defined.. Can't quite
figure out what the problem is. But it's "click" on a field and drag it to a
new spot then ....wait ......wait ......wait ......then it's moved to the new
spot. So frustratingly slow that you forget what all your changes were
supposed to be...
