I have Home Premium, but can't get Aero. Display settings has no Aero to
change.

I have: 32bit color, 1 GB memory, NVIDIA GeForce 420. Compaq EVO 4 years
old.

Any help?

You won't get Aero with that graphics card.

Do you know if I can change it?

No, we don't know if *you* can change it but it can be changed. You will
have to uninstall the current video card in Device Manager, shut down
the computer and pull the plug. Open the case, remove the video card you
have and put a better one in. When you turn the computer back on, it
will ask for drivers for your video card. Use the CD that comes with the
video card to install the drivers. If this seems to much for you, take
your computer to a computer shop and have them install a new "Vista
Ready" video card. Once you've or they've installed the new card, you'll
probably have to call India because Vista will think you stole Vista and
demand that you prove otherwise with a call to India.

A video card change by itself is highly unlikely to cause re-activation to
be necessary.

Sure, pull the other one, it has bells on it. Many people who have
merely updated the driver for their current video card have had to call
India. It's called MS controlling your computer instead of you.
