Adware Sick

The other day i turned on my Internet Explorer , My Home page is google (it
has been for a long time) about a second after it opened another window
open over top of google with a sales add,, but its still Internet Explorer,
then pop-ups start opening, I ran every spyware remover i can find and its
still opens. I went thru my pc everywhere I can think of looking and deleted
everything that didn't belong to any applacation I have installed,
Am I going to have to reformate my drive? or is there another way?

Try installing the Google toolbar. It can stop popups.

Hijackthi
WinPatro

These are the main programs I used this weekend to fix my brother's computer but he had problems beyond just IE hijacking. Hijackthis may be all you need

You may also want to try using the free online virus scan from Pandasoftware

Just be careful using the Adware and spyware programs but you sound like you are familiar with them (so you don't delete the files that you want on your computer
