Advancing slides

I am a newbie at powerpoint. I have my pictures and sound ready to go.
When I click view slide show, the first pic comes up and the sound starts to
play but the slides do not advance. I have it set up to look continually and
I have slides 1 to 35 set and I have it set on using timings. Also in the
slide transition, in the sound section, when I click on other sound, the box
c omes up to add sound but the sound button goes back automatically to no
sound. I can't get it to stay on other sound but somehow I got the sound to
come up anyway. How can I get my slides to advance to show the whole show.

luvkids,
Only wav sounds can be added when you use the other sound item in the slide
transition task pane. Maybe you are trying to add a different sound type.
