Ok, so I am look to set up a template for my department, in it I need to have
two date fields one that is 5 days in advance of the creation of the message
and the other is for 30 days in advance. I do not see any way to set those up
so when the template is opened it sets those date fields up.

Based on the information you provided there is no way to offer any help.
What kind of template are you talking about?
Which method are you using?
Where do you get stuck?
Which version of Outlook are you using?

In pseudo code it would be "get current date +5" and "get current date +30"

My apologies, I should have put a bit more detail in the message. What I am
trying to do is create a mail template for our group. We are currently on
Office 2003 but a few of us (myself being one) have been migrated to 2007 and
we send regular e-mails out to a customer that is a preset message. A few
places within the message have dates and currently need to be manually input
every time we send a message. In all of the cases the dates need to be either
5 days or 30 days in advance of the date the message is sent (basically a
dead line date).
I was hoping to find out how I can have these dates automatically set so
someone doesn't accidently send it out with an incorrect date.
Thanks,
Don
