Advanced copying and pasting in Windows.

In Unix, you have an editor called Vi.
There you have the ability to have a much more advanced copying and
paste system.
What you can do is copy a bit of text and assign it to a particular key
combination.

For example:

You can cut some text and store it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + x.
You can cut some text and store it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + y.

You can then access both the copied text by pressing Ctrl + Alt + x or
y.

I made up the use of Ctrl, Shift and Alt... just to explain.

Is there anything for Windows that would give similar functionality?
I would image it would only need be a very small program that would
stay inmemory and could be accessed by any software running.

I would imagine you could use less used keys like the Alt Gr button on
the right.
Or maybe add to right clicking in someway... and have it pop up in a
menu.

Does anyone understand what I'm saying!!?

Thanks.
