Advance Filterning - expression "contains"

Please help. I need to do an advance filter within a certain column.
When filtering using the autofilter, it allows you to select "contains
to find anything within that column that contains a particular word.
Because I need a more elaborate filter I cannot use autofilter and mus
use advance filter. When typing out your criteria, how do you reques
the expression "contains"

The "ice" example in the website attached only locates the records tha
begin with ice. I'm looking for contains because the word is in th
middle of the cell.

Launch Excel and press F1.
Type "advanced filter" into the Answer Wizard.
Select "Types of comparison criteria" and read about using wildcards in text
criteria.
