Advance File Sharing Permissions

I am using XP Pro SP1 with Fat32 hdd.
All my other computer under the lan is also XP Pro.
Under My Network, I am able to access their shared folders.
I changed my sharing format to advance file sharing
Under the permissions, I can only see my computer but not the others, so I
am not able to give a particular computer permission.

I am sure it is possible to allow a user defined computer to access ur
selected share computer since I am the admin of my computer. I don't know
why I cannot see it. For more info:

Windows XP bases network access permissions on user accounts, not on
computer names.

In a workgroup, each computer does its own user account validation.
To allow access by another user on the network, there must be a
matching user account (same user name and password) on each computer.
Permissions defined for the local user account also apply to the
matching user on the other computer who requests access over the
network. Ron Lowe and I have written a web page with details:

i'm a little confused with the user accts part.
The thing is, I don't have multiple User Accts on this comp. Let's say this
is comp A,my brother's computer across the room on LAN is comp B, and my
parent's computer in the living room is comp C. I want to share a folder to
my brother, but only for him. I have Advance File Share enabled (Simple
disabled). Under the permissions, I can only select my computer (and the
other User Accts...) but I can not see any of the other computers. I can
access the Comp B and Comp C under the My Network folder.

Also any question, if I want my computer, when seen thru letsay Comp B's
computer's Network folder, to have a Password prompt before accessing to read
my folders, how do I do that?

That's right, you can only choose user accounts from your own computer.

So you need to create a user account on _your_ computer for your brother to
use.
You then share a folder with permissions for the brother account you just
made.

When he connects, one of 2 things will happen:
either:

1) If the username and password he uses on his PC matches exactly the acount
you set up for him, then he will get access immediately.

-or-

2) If the username and password he uses on his machine _don't_ match the
account you set up on your machine, then he will get a prompt to supply a
uersname/password. He must supply the username/password which you set up
on your machine for him.
