Hi i have 10 machines in a p2p access the internet off the
adsl. 5 of them are student pcs, 5 are staff. Is there any
benefit or advantage in getting a second adsl modem so
that the student PCs run off 1 and staff off the
other??.... Is it worth the money in purchasing anthor and
will i get any noticable perforamnce improvement?
Currently im wondering if a student pc caught a virus,
does it have the potential to hit the staff pcs hence the
reason for my query..

Cant wait to here your advice!! :-)

Hi.
You can not connect two DSL Modems to the same account.

In any case if you could there will be no advantage since the Bandwidth
will be the same.

If you would like to divide the Network in to two it is Not DSL modem
related, you can separate the students and the staff by putting two Routers
in serial.

Jack (MVP-Networking).

The bandwidth of the "pipe" does not change, even if you could do this. No
advantage at all. Get another DSL account and a separate line.
