I have lost my address bar on my internet explorer. It is
selected but the actual bar is not there. What can I do
to get it back?

Isn't it faster to just tell the OP to go to Tools-->View-->Check address
bar?

Why do you feel it is more efficient for first you to select the canned
response and, secondly, to make the OP click on a link?

Don't get me wrong, Ramesh. The input of you and your fellow MVP's here is
invaluable to us users.

But, sometimes, simpler IS better.

David,

You must have read that before making strong comments! Poor reading.... Yes! it is a canned response coz we are making hundreds of posts [repeated issues] and it's not a fault either.

If users feel invaluable, there would not be thousands of questions in NGs per day. If you find our [or atleast mine] response irritating, ignore them. please... And remember, we're just volunteers and not employees of MS.

Yes. I agree this one. But your answer does NOT suit in this scenario as the OP has done that already.

If you felt my response to you implied your presence here (not to mention
your assistance) is 'irritating', then Ramesh you have a pretty thin skin.

While I admit the error of not reading his query carefully, you yourself are
guilty of the same thing in that I referred to your input as 'invaluable',
NOT users.

Can we both just move on ....

David,

Again, you misread my comment..
You said, 'The input of you and your fellow MVP's here is invaluable to *us* users.'
Making errors once in a while is not a problem at all, everyone do commit mistakes. But don't flame anyone even if they did a mistake knowingly or unknowingly. Even, in this case my answer was perfect!

And, let's put an end to this. Tired of standing criticism for doing no harm :(

David's comment "The input of you and your fellow MVP's

compliment.

Invaluable: adj. Of inestimable value; priceless.

Certainly it is faster, but most ineffective for teaching. If you give a man a
fish you feed him for a day. If you teach him how to fish you feed him for a
lifetime. If you tell the poster where to find the answer he will seek it
himself next time.
