We had the same Temp folder full message when attempting to install
Acrobat on Windows Server 2007. It is incredible that Adobe, Microsoft
or both setup the software such that an installer thinks that a Temp
folder is full if UAC is not turned on.
One clarification.
Adobe's UAC setting fix for Adobe Reader 8 (Acrobat) may work for some
versions of Vista, but it doesn't work with Windows Server 2007.
Adobe had a second suggestion for a fix which is to run the install in
XP SP2 compatibility mode. This approach does work with Server 2007.
The easy work around for me was to install the free Foxit Reader. It uses
3.9MB vs Adobe Reader at 15.9MB. Fast and runs on Vista. http://www.foxitsoftware.com
