Scratch disk is essentially virtual memory. Photoshop and its siblings use
space on your hard drive when they run out of RAM. If you have a drive with
more than one partition, you should be able to set the scratch disk to a
separate partition in the preferences although I'm not sure how you do this
with Photo Deluxe. However, the fact that you are out of scratch disk means
you should be trying to free up space on your hard drive by backing up files
and removing them. Buying some extra RAM is always a good idea if you are
doing imaging as the program will slow down a lot when it has to use the
scratch disk. I don't know what the problem with the hidden pictures is but
you should be able to find them by doing a search.
