Adobe Acrobat PDF writer 5.0.5

While installing Adobe Acrobat PDF writer 5.0.5 on the
servers one error message 'Acrobat PDF writer requires
Lpt1: printer port. Setup could not find this required
port. The PDF component will not be installed. To install
PDF writer, add Lpt1: port and run setup again."
Please advice on this.

I had the same problem. To install PDFWriter, you must
have a physical LPT1: I was trying to install it on a
server that did not have one. I bought a PCI card that
had a LPT1 port on it and installed it on the server. I
still could not get PDFWriter installed; however, I know
of people that have by doing this, especially using
Citrix. Adobe has stated that their products are not
licensed to be run on servers. Please let me know if you
have any luck.
