I am receiving the following error when trying to run a
user migrattion using ADMT:

"You are not an administrator on the source domain.
(domain=mfs)"

Stats:
Target Domain = Windows 2000 Advanced Server, functioning
as FSMO, running in Native Mode.
Source Domain = Windows NT4 Domain, Server Functioining
as PDC.
I setup identical accounts on both Domain Controllers,
that have the same password. I used this account on the
2000 DC to install ADMT and run it.
My trust is functioning and verified
The "SourceDomainName$$$" group is setup on the NT4
(Source DC)
There are no mapped drives between the source and target
domain controller.
the Source Domain (nt4) has the following registry entry:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA\TcpipClientSuppo
rt:REG_DWORD:0X1

does anyone know how I can get past this error?

You must add the Target domain Administrator account you are using for ADMT
to the Source NT4 domain admin group

Thanks for your reply.
How do you add the target admin account to the source
domain admin group? I thought you could only add local
accounts to a Global Group?

Richard,
I fixed it, but I'm not sure which one of these changed
fixed the problem.
#1. I enabled a secondary NIC that exists in the same
subnet as the NT4 domain (10.1.1.x). The 2000 domain is
in a 10.50.5.x subnet.
#2. I upgraded the ADMT tool to version 2.
One of these did it, but I'm not sure which. Thanks
again for your help.
