AdminPAk problem

I installed the adminpak on a windowsxp pro machime for 2003 i cant not
administer activedirectory users and computers gives me an error of naming
information is not found but i can administer the dns part. tried to install
xp admin patch but is says its an older version than what i have?

Any ideas?

Just to make sure, you did install the adminpak from the
2003 server disk, didn't you? The one on the 2000 server
disk will not work. If you did that, the only other
suggestion I have is to check the dns order on your
worksation if you are running dual IP addresses.

The W2k version refuses to install.
It is DNS at issue here.
