Administrator's Permission

I am trying to reload my backup CD after installing a new
hard drive. The instructions say I must have my
Administrator's Permission to do so. I am the Ad.,
but "IT" won't let me load the CD. How do I get the
permission? Thanks much, Don
 
There is an account actually called "Administrator" that
is created when you install Windows. Your user account
may be AN admin account, but it might be asking for THE
admin account. I've noticed XP being a little
inconsistent sometimes with the admin permissions stuff.
